East Meets West: The Animation of Theodore Ushev
Bulgarian-born director Theodore Ushev settled in Canada in 1999 and has been developing his unique and unmistakable vision at the National Film Board for years.
With 15 films and well over one hundred prizes won among them, Theodore is superstar of Canadian animation.
On Saturday, November 11, join us as we welcome Theodore to Vancouver to discuss how he has transformed his graphic designs into animated films that at once, entrance, shock and enthral.
Note that unlike the previous presentations, this one is taking place at 7PM!

Attention fans of the Canadian-produced Todd and the Book of Pure Evil! If 26 episodes of Todd and his rag-tag group of high school friends in search for a Satanic spell book wasn’t enough for you, there’s more to be had!
Years in the making Todd and the Book of Pure Evil: The End of the End is an animated conclusion to the beloved television show and it’s coming to Vancouver for one night only!
On Sunday, November 5, join director Craig David Wallace and star Bill Turnbull at the Rio Theatre as the pair bring Todd and his friends back to life for one last adventure!
