Through facilitated discussions and Q&As, this two-day masterclass aims to inspire participants with the confidence to take the creative lead on their own projects.

"Taking the Creative Lead" is presented in participation with Drawn Together Vancouver and Spark CG Society.

Tickets are $25 per day or $40 for both days.

Amplify Her Purple Carpet Tour Comes to Vancouver

Amplify Her is a dynamic film from Canadian directors Nicole Sorochan and Ian MacKenzie — is like nothing you have experienced before. It weaves animated motion comics to highlight intimate moments within the rich, colorful worlds of each of these emerging female artists. Immerse yourself in this dynamic world as you watch Blondtron, Applecat, and Lux Moderna overcome isolation, illness, and gender bias to give life to their music and give life to their creative passions.

The making of Amplify Her had more than 25 women in key creative roles - from music producers, to animators, to writers, illustrators and more. 26 songs in the film were composed by women. Most of the cast and crew are based in Vancouver and area, including Jenn Strom (animator, known for her work with NFB, Knowledge Network) and Tammy Dubinsky, (animator, works as a key animator on the Rocky and Bullwinkle show at DHX), just to name a few.
