SPARK FX is Sold Out. Rush Tickets in Effect
Our first event of 2018 kicks off tomorrow when SPARK FX opens at 9AM at the Vancity Theatre. The event is sold out and passes will not be available for purchase at the door but rush ticket sales will be in effect!
Once a presentation begins, we will open door sales to fill remaining seats. Note that if you want to attend more than one presentation, you will need to line up for each presentation. We will not be selling tickets to presentations later in the day, only to the presentation which is about to begin!
Individual tickets are $30 each. We accept cash, credit and debit.

The first SPARK career fair of 2018 is taking place tomorrow!
Though most of the pre-registration blocks are sold out, there is still limited availability for online registration which closes at midnight tonight.
If you miss your opportunity to register, don’t despair! Limited spaces will be available for on-site registration on a first-come-first-served basis so feel free to drop in for your chance to meet with recruiters from some of the industry’s leading companies including:

Four Passes Left for the SPARK FX Diversity Summit
Taking place on Sunday, February 11, the Diversity Summit will explore what it means to have diversity in the workplace and why it is important.
The day-long event will kick off at 10AM with a conversation with Michelle Grady, Senior Vice President of Production at Sony Pictures Imageworks, and will close with a keynote from 25+ year industry veteran Wendy Rogers, who will take us through her career and some of her defining moments, while also providing insight on what it’s like to be a woman in a position typically occupied by men.
There are only a four passes available so don’t delay! A full day pass is only $15 and includes the networking lunch!
Rush tickets will be in effect at a cost of $5 per session. We accept cash, credit and debit. Note that rush tickets will not include lunch.
This is a great opportunity to meet other individuals in the industry who are passionate about diversity, and a great way to find out what you can do to help shape the industry for future generations!
The Industry Mixer is taking place at The Charles Bar, 136 West Cordova Street, Vancouver. Admission is free and open to all. Cash bar in effect.

SPARK FX 2018: Important Dates






The French Touch Screening Series Opens with Adama
We have partnered with the VIFF Vancity Theatre in collaboration with the Institut français and the Consulate General of France in Vancouver, to present free monthly screenings celebrating French animation.
Kicking off on Saturday, February 24 at 12PM, the first screening of the series is Simon Rouby’s Adama, the story of a 12-year-old boy who disobeys his father and follows his older brother, ending up on a troop ship to France during World War I.
The screening is FREE and open to all ages. To secure your seat, visit the Vancity Theatre website.
