Taking place Saturday, February 9, this is your opportunity to connect with top tier film and television studios in a meaningful way, with valuable one-on-one time with studio recruiters. Instead of simply handing off a resume and reel, this is a networking opportunity that will help you build strong relationships for the job you’re looking for today and in the future.
Whether you’re a seasoned CG animation or VFX professional looking for a change or a student seeking to break into the field, the SPARK FX 2019 Career Fair is the place to start and end your job search.

New Speakers Added to SPARK FX Line-up
In addition to our pre-holiday announcement of keynote speaker Robert Legato (The Lion King, The Jungle Book, Hugo, Titanic), we’re pleased to announce that he will be joined by VFX Supervisor Kevin Baillie who will be presenting on Robert Zemeckis’ latest film Welcome to Marwen. We are also thrilled to welcome Michelle Eisenreich and Tristan Myles who will be talking about the making of First Man, Cedric Lo, Gary Wu, Georg Kaltenbrunner, Quentin Marmier and Rachael Dunk who will be breaking down the epic under-water battles of Aquaman, and Daniel Paulsson who’ll be taking us behind the scenes of anti-hero Venom.
Bryce Nielsen will be breaking down the period effects in Alfonso Cuarón’s latest masterpiece Roma, Daniel Elophe and Edmond Engelbrecht will unravel some of the magic behind Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and Digital FX Supervisor Jeffrey Okun will take us back to 1994 to look at the groundbreaking effects of Stargate.
Conference passes which provide you full access to all presentations are now available for $225 or $202.50 for groups of 5 or more (note that group pricing is only available through on-line advance sales).

John Musker Masterclass Tickets Available
Tickets are still available for the day-long masterclass with John Musker taking place Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Emily Carr University, Reliance Theatre.
A 40-year-veteran of Walt Disney Animation Studios, John Musker has done it all. Writer, producer, character animator and director, he is credited with two of the most notable Disney films of the 1990s: The Little Mermaid and Aladdin. In 2016, he wrote and directed Moana which went on to be nominated for two Academy Awards.
