SPARK FX 2019 Starts Tomorrow

SPARK FX kicks off tomorrow night and what a start it will be! Online sales for the 7 pm Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse presentation are now sold out but a limited number of rush tickets will be available at the venue prior to the presentation.

Full conference passes as well as Saturday and Sunday day passes are on sale on the website until midnight tomorrow. If you’re looking to take advantage of the group rate, applicable when buying 5 or more passes, the discounted rate is only available through online sales so be sure to place your order before midnight.

Conference attendees will also have the chance to win a variety of prizes including a one year Isotropix Indie Licence (valued at $999) as well as one of three Substance Indie Annual licenses (valued at $500).

All conference passes along with single session conference tickets to all presentations, will be on sale at the venue throughout the weekend.

Free Content at SPARK FX

In addition to the regular conference programming taking place on Track 1, this year SPARK FX is also providing a range of free programming on Track 2.

On Saturday, February 9 from 10:45 am to 4:00 pm, take advantage of one of four sessions free to all those interested in furthering their ambitions in the VFX and animation fields.

Attendees of the ”Texture Workflows in Mari” will be entered to win access to over $10,000 worth of software from Foundry while those who attend the "Making Muscular Characters" workshop will be entered to win over $500 worth of Ziva prizes.

The workshops are taking place at Emily Carr in Rennie Hall. Registration for these free sessions is open until midnight tomorrow. Drop-ins welcome at the door.

Driving to the conference this weekend? There are plenty of parking options around Emily Carr but conference attendees can take advantage of complimentary free parking in ECU Lot #1 (see location map).

Complimentary parking is only available in ECU Lot #1. If you are parking in any of the other lots, please take note of the limitations and/or parking fees.
