Happening Saturday: Tony Bancroft Masterclass!
The day is almost upon us! The Tony Bancroft masterclass is happening this Saturday which means there’s limited time left to buy your ticket to meet and learn about the art of animating comedy with the legendary Tony Bancroft.
This is your opportunity to learn from Tony, a 30+ year veteran of the animation industry, whose career has included nearly every role, including a 12-year tenure at Disney Feature Animation, working on such classics as Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, as well as directing Mulan.
The day-long masterclass taking place this Saturday, 29 June, will be divided into four sessions, each covering a specific aspect of animating comedic characters, opening with insights from his career, moving into the history of animated comedy characters and archetypes, followed by a session examining and breaking down specific visual gags and how they have evolved over time, and closing the day with a lesson on finding the comedic moments in dialogue and pantomime scenes.
Tickets to the masterclass are $125 each ($112.50 for groups of 5 or more) including all taxes and fees. Each ticket also includes a boxed lunch.
Online sales will close at midnight tomorrow, Friday, 28 June. Group and sponsor staff discounts are only available through online advance sales, so if you want to save a little cash while hanging with friends and learning some new skills, be sure to get your ticket before midnight tomorrow.
Tickets will also be available at the venue on Saturday morning (regular price only).
