Sandro Cleuzo Masterclass Rush Tickets Available

Planning a Film Festival Strategy

Whether you’re a seasoned director looking for insight or a first-time filmmaker, planning a festival strategy is time consuming and sometimes a costly endeavour. So, what does it really take to run a successful campaign?

On Friday, 20 September 2019, join Oscar winners Alison Snowden and David Fine (Bob’s Birthday, Animal Behaviour), along with Oscar nominees Louise Bagnall (Late Afternoon and Trevor Jimenez for “The Circuit: Planning a Festival Strategy for Your Short Film.”

This free event is your opportunity to glean insight into the process of preparing an awards campaign and getting your film seen.

The presentation will be followed by a mixer.

Designing Characters for TV and Movies

What do Game of Thrones, The Christmas Chronicles, A Dog’s Way Home, and The Meg have in common? Creatures.

On Monday, 23 September, join experts from Method Studios, Scanline VFX and Pixomondo as they cover every step of creature workflow including modeling, rigging/simulation, animation, and grooming.

RectoVRso Comes to Vancouver

To celebrate its 115 year anniversary, the Alliance Française Vancouver, along with its partners, is bringing RectoVRso to Vancouver. A digital arts and virtual reality exhibition featuring 12 artworks and artists, the exhibition will be open to the public on 28 and 29 September 2019 at the Centre for Digital Media (685 Great Northern Way).

Vancouver Animation Network Mixer

The Vancouver Animation Network is hosting its next mixer on Friday, 27 September. The free event is a great way to meet industry peers, share stories, tips, ideas or simply hang out with friends and make new ones.

The mixer kicks off at 6:30 pm at the St. Regis Bar & Grill and includes free pizza, 15% discount on alcohol, 10% discount on food and a 50/50 raffle.
